Mother's Love

Attitudes of gratitude may spell
Mother of the unwanted and deserted
You are mother, Mother of Calcutta
Mother Theresa, Mother of all
A breeze of consolation was thee Mother
A pond of perennial solace

Scripting new verse on love,
Never on a paper but ever to be,
Even to the last syllable of this world,
On the hearts of people, fine a poem,
With the pen of pain and prayer
Found a place in the hearts of all.

You were an angel of love.
Who else O' Mother can dare to do
The great deeds of charity?
You went to slums and knew people.
Caste and creed ceased you not.
You beheld human beings there.

You saw people wallow in sewage,
You saw people fight dogs for food.
You saw their wounds licked by dogs.
You saw children eaten by animals.
You saw children among heaps.
And your sympathy flowed incessantly.

Mother you intoned divine melodies,
Into the melancholy sounding strings.
Mending the broken strings,
You played heavenly music
That in a barren land like rain poured down.
You healed them all with new life

Loving and praying for those opposed,
You firmly there for the poor stood.
For love was thy weapon, they power,
Thy only wealth, thy only motivation,
Love was thy only law, thy only end.
Love took flesh was thee Mother.

O Mother thou didst the simplest.
For the simple, but just for the love's sake
Unfulfilled a dream, yet pushing,
That found a soft corner,
Sprout out like shaft bruising,
To give like you Mother, just for love's sake

O! blessed heart, we venerate thee
The, the stream of love and compassion
Surged out sinking and filling every heart.
A piece of smile and word of peace
Surrendered or conquered? the minds,
Before thee love, the power prime.

May the flames you enkindled
Of peace and love guide us.
Thy life, never ending source of spirit.
Only to love and to dedicate for love
Pray to God for us O blessed Mother
To fill our hearts with 'LOVE-DIVINE'
